Our Mission is to promote opportunities, which enhance the self-sufficiency of people to empower them to live and function independently. Job Description Residential Assistants may rotate between any of (3) 24-hour transitional housing programs serving Veterans, families, and individuals living with severe behavioral health diagnoses. All residents enrolled in these programs are homeless. A common goal amongst each program is to allow participants the time needed to move towards a better future for themselves and/or their families without the added worry of "where will I sleep tonight?". Shifts Needed Monday-Friday 12am-8am Monday-Friday 4pm-12am Saturday-Sunday 12am-12pm Saturday-Sunday 12pm-12am Holidays (8 or 12-hour coverage) Weekly Hours: Average 24-28 hours/week Minimum Requirements Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Work history in behavioral health preferred, not required. Must possess strong conflict-resolution skills and be able to adjust in an ever-changing environment. Applicant(s) must be professional and firm on boundaries set between staff and residents. Core Competencies Assists clients in identifying strengths, needs, and realistic goals Accurately identifies risk and responds appropriately Maintains professional boundaries and operates within agency /ethical guidelines. Job Duties / Skills Required Oversee preparation of meals for residents in compliance with set menu. Completes bed checks during nighttime shift; Follow chore lists to ensure that the facility is safe, clean, and orderly.
