MLT- Archbold Brooks Hospital LaboratoryDemonstrate adequate knowledge of the hospital, laboratory and referral facilities computer systemsDemonstrate proficiency in patient specimen collection and test order functionsDemonstrate correct venipuncture/capillary/urine/drug screen collection techniquesCollect all specimens efficiently and timelyCorrectly perform instrument maintenance and/or quality control (testing and documentation as necessary)Comply with all applicable laboratory safety policies and proceduresWill require the ability to function in all areas of the laboratory (i.e. Blood Bank, Chem., Hemo, Coag, Urinalysis, Micro, Immuno)Handle non-technical, phlebotomy and clerical duties as neededExperience/Qualifications:Successful completion of an Associate's Degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician ProgramMLT certification by ASCP, AMT, AAB or other nationally recognized certification agencyNew graduates must pass one of the national certification exams within 18 months of hireCompetency assessment and continuing education in laboratory sciences required throughout employmentMaintenance of certification is required during employment with Archbold Medical CenterExperience as deemed necessary to be accordance with certification by the Georgia Department of Human ResourcesPerks/Benefits:(for eligible employees):Have optimal opportunity for career growth within our growing organizationMedical / DentalRetirement PlanPTO and paid life insuranceWhat Sets Us ApartArchbold Medical Center is a four-hospital, four-nursing-home health system with 540 patient beds.
