Job Overview Marine Service Engineer – KONE Americas, Davie, FL. This role involves performing first visits of unknown equipment, evaluating installation maintenance handover, communicating technical issues, planning workload, and contributing to product and safety improvements. Responsibilities Resolve complex technical issues, including commissioning certifications and complex troubleshooting of elevators and escalators. Maintain end‑user communication with customers on board marine vessels and ensure site safety. Identify technical competence gaps caused by new equipment and communicate findings to supervisors and technical helpdesk. Provide feedback on repairs or adjustments that could reduce call-outs and communicate with Clinical Specialists, Analysts, and Technical Helpdesk. Follow safe working practices and operate according to maintenance and safety instructions. Plan workload effectively in conjunction with the service supervisor. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a similar engineering position, or 7 years without a bachelor’s degree. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Electro‑Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience debugging printed circuit board assemblies, wiring harnesses, electromechanical assemblies and systems. Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures of marine elevator diagrams. Experience identifying European elevator spare parts supplies. Experience with motion and closed‑loop controls on elevators for complex on‑site troubleshooting. Experience with analog and digital interface control on elevators for on‑site troubleshooting. 2+ years of experience performing annual inspections of European elevators to ensure compliance with local and country regulations. Travel Up to 50% international and domestic travel required, including time spent aboard ships at sea. Benefits Competitive salary within the range of $72,400–$95,025.
