Overnight Care Assistant Needed Private In-Home Care

Qualicare KC Home Care is seeking an overnight Care Assistant needed for private in-home care in the Lee's Summit/S. Blue Springs area. Apply once and be considered for all of QCKC's positions!

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Care Assistant to support a wonderful adult client in her home. This is private in-home care for a physically disabled adult recovering from an injury (non-senior). Preferred schedule: 8:00 PM 8:00 AM. Additional hours/shifts may be available for the right fit.

About the client: She is a kind and pleasant individual who values dignity, organization, and consistency. She requires assistance with restroom needs, showering and personal care (good organization and attention to detail are important), light housekeeping, and transfers (some lifting required, but not heavy).

Position requirements include the ability to bend, kneel, squat, multiple times throughout the shift and assist with transfers safely, strong bedside manner and respectful communication, dependability and punctuality (reliability is crucial, as this is part of a 24/7 care schedule), and being compassionate, patient, and attentive.

A successful Qualicare KC Care Assistant will be an experienced person in life as a caregiver either professionally or personally to family and who is capable of working independently, while maintaining a calm and focused demeanor, with hopefully some room for laughs.

Responsibilities include being caring and compassionate toward clients and their caretakers, showing up on time, assistance with personal care and hygiene, including incontinence briefs, meal preparation, light housekeeping, accompanying clients on outings, shopping and errands, medication assist/reminders, ambulation and transporting of clients, providing companionship to clients, ability to follow care-plan, and documentation/charting.

Requirements include experience in life with caregiving or professionally, must be 18 years or older, must hold a valid driver's license, and demonstrate good judgment when dealing with patients, visitors, families, and co-workers. Compensation: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour.
