Sales AssociateThe Sales Associate is responsible for delivering Best of the WEST customer service by building relationships with customers and helping them find products that meet their needs. They maintain product knowledge, use effective selling techniques, and contribute to achieving store sales goals while creating an exceptional shopping experience. Sales Associates help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store while supporting daily store operations and following company policies and procedures. Duties and responsibilities include supporting the "Cavender's Culture" and the company's mission, vision, and values. They deliver Best of the WEST customer service by greeting every customer, engaging with them throughout their shopping experience, and thanking them for their business. They build customer relationships by identifying needs, recommending products, and providing knowledgeable, personalized service. They use effective selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach. They maintain knowledge of merchandise, promotions, company programs, and current Western and workwear trends. They assist customers with product selection, special orders, and locating merchandise throughout the store. They help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor by stocking merchandise, recovering displays, and completing housekeeping tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. They ensure merchandise is properly displayed, signed, stocked, and located according to company standards. They remain attentive to store safety and security and promptly report concerns to store management. They report to work on time and maintain a neat, professional appearance. They understand and follow all company policies and procedures. They assist with merchandising updates, price changes, inventory projects, and other assigned store tasks. Any other duties as assigned.Qualifications and requirements include the ability to provide exceptional customer service and build customer relationships in a fast-paced retail environment. They effectively sell merchandise while achieving individual and store performance goals. They regularly lift, move, and position merchandise throughout the work shift. They safely use store equipment, including handheld devices, step stools, and dollies, in accordance with company policies. Certain equipment may only be operated by associates who meet applicable age requirements. They are available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business. They comprehend basic instructions, interpret documents, and apply them to daily tasks. They have strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. They read and understand English.
