Our team is our competitive advantage and we are better together.YOUR MISSION True Anomaly is seeking a talented and driven Electrical Engineer to lead cross domain systems integration and coordination across our avionics subsystems. You will own the systems engineering and technical coordination discipline that ties these domains together — driving requirements decomposition, interface definition, integration planning, verification strategy, and schedule execution across the full spacecraft avionics architecture. You will represent the Space Vehicle Avionics team in design reviews and customer engagements, translating complex multi-discipline technical challenges into clear decisions, actionable plans, and coordinated execution across engineering teams. RESPONSIBILITIES Own requirements decomposition and flow-down across avionics and electrical power subsystems, ensuring traceability from customer and program-level requirements to component specificationsDevelop, maintain, and negotiate interface control documents (ICDs) between avionics subsystems and broader spacecraft systems, including software, GNC, propulsion, and payloadsLead cross-domain integration planning across digital systems, FPGA, EPS, and communications disciplines to ensure architectural coherence and minimize interface riskDrive technical and programmatic trade studies that span avionics subsystem boundaries, synthesizing inputs from power, digital, and hardware teams to produce clear recommendations with supporting analysisLead and participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) as the avionics systems engineering representative, presenting architecture, interface, and verification status to internal stakeholders and customersInterpret and adjudicate customer specifications, identifying areas of risk, ambiguity, or non-compliance and driving resolution with engineering and program stakeholdersDevelop and maintain the avionics verification and validation strategy, ensuring requirements are verifiable and mapped to appropriate test or analysis methodsCollaborate with EPS engineers on power budget development, distribution architecture trades, and power system interface definitionWork with hardware design engineers on unit-level requirements, interface specifications, and integration planning across the avionics architectureSupport sprint planning, milestone tracking, and schedule development in coordination with the Program Office, keeping the Avionics Subsystem team on track and dependencies visibleIdentify and track technical and programmatic risks across the avionics domain, driving mitigation plans in collaboration with subsystem leads and the Program OfficeDevelop and maintain avionics program documentation including technical plans, schedules, review packages, and status reportsMentor junior engineers in systems engineering practices, requirements discipline, and cross-functional problem solving QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field5–10 years of professional experience in technical program management, systems engineering, avionics engineering, or a related technical disciplineProven track record of coordinating multi-discipline hardware programs from requirements through integration and testDemonstrated experience with requirements decomposition, flow-down, and traceability management for electrical or avionics systemsExperience developing and managing interface control documents across complex, multi-discipline hardware programsStrong technical fundamentals with the ability to engage credibly with engineers across EPS, digital systems, FPGA, communications, and harness disciplinesExperience leading or supporting design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to manage schedules, track dependencies, and coordinate work across multiple engineering disciplinesExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to convey technical information clearly to both engineering and program management audiences PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fieldPMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent program management certificationExperience with spacecraft avionics architectures including flight computers, EPS, data handling systems, and harness designFamiliarity with spacecraft power system design, power budgeting, and distribution architecturesExperience with digital communications interfaces and protocols used in spacecraft systemsProficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or ConfluenceExperience with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar)Demonstrated experience facilitating agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups) for hardware engineering teamsExperience managing technical risks, dependencies, and critical path activities across complex hardware programs COMPENSATIONBase Salary: $135,000-$250,000Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.
