Business Analyst

The Business Analyst reports to the Enterprise & Governance PMO Operations Manager. This role is responsible for guiding the success of the technology and services related to various business processes that align with the City's technological strategic priorities and future-state agile, digital city experience. Working with cross-functional technology teams and business process stakeholders, they will oversee technology related business process initiatives from requirements through implementation, assessment, testing, and continuous enhancement. In this role, the Business Analyst will be the 'voice of the customer,' focusing on needs, expectations, understandings, and desires of the OIT and business process stakeholders to improve processes and increase satisfaction. As a member of the Enterprise and Governance PMO, the Business Analyst is expected to uphold the organization's mission and contribute positively to a collaborative, human-centered, innovative, accountable, transparent, and inclusive culture within the Enterprise and Governance PMO.

• Relationship Management

Qualifications

Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university, which has included major course work in Computer Science or Information Systems OR An equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum seven (7) years' work experience, preferably within IT, and five (5) years business analysis experience

Extensive experience with relevant tools such as MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Experience in leading or managing projects is a plus.

Experience implementing Organizational Change Management is a plus.

Experience working in a large governmental environment preferred.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to think strategically about the application of technology to solve business problems and develop user/business-driven technology strategies and plans.

Ability to work with end users to understand and analyze business processes, define requirements, and assess technologies to determine fit for client needs; and with technical staff to translate those requirements into appropriate technical specifications.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts and information to non-technical audiences in a compelling and empowering way.

Deep commitment to developing and delivering modern, user-centered, and value-producing technology products, systems, and services in a collaborative way.

Ability to build effective relationships and strong commitment to working collegially and collaboratively with constituents at all levels in a diverse and distributed environment.

Additional Information

Salary: $75k-$85k
