Tool Room Machinist

Machine Operator Job Type: Full-time Hourly Monday through Friday 1st shift 7:00am - 3:30pm Pay: $24-$28 per hour Work Site: On site Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Educational Reimbursement Responsibilities Tooling Maintenance & Repair: clean, polish, assemble, and repair CNC machined aluminum thermoforming molds, heated plates, plug assists, and high-precision trim tools. Manual Machining: safely and accurately operate manual tool room equipment (Bridgeport mills, lathes, surface grinders) to modify, repair, or fabricate tooling components. Troubleshooting: partner with the production team to diagnose forming or trimming defects (thinning, webbing, poor cuts) and implement fast, effective tooling fixes. Quality & Compliance: inspect and verify tooling tolerances using micrometers, calipers, and indicators to ensure strict compliance with ISO 13485 regulations and medical standards. Perform and complete other tasks as assigned. Qualifications / Requirements Good work ethic and positive attitude. Able to follow and understand quality management objectives and manufacturing procedures. Must be fluent in English for communicating and reading safety instructions, procedures, and customer orders and parts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills. Read blueprints & diagrams: ability to interpret engineering drawings, and assembly schematics. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand long periods of time and walk continuously through assigned areas. Must be able to lift up to 45lbs. Must have full range of motion, bending, reaching, and lifting. Education & Experience Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing tool room. Preferably working with thermoforming, injection molding, and stamping designs. Understanding of aluminum mold care and match-metal trim alignment preferred. Willing to train the right candidate. Experience with CNC programming (G-code, Mastercam) or operating CNC mills to perform minor tool modifications is a bonus.
