Opportunity:

Ultrasound Technologist - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Day shift Monday through Friday with 8-hour shifts, with possibility of variable 10-hour shifts or PM shift on occasion
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Weeknight call required 2-3 nights per month with a 45-minute call response time
• Weekend call required 2 weekends per 13-week contract, covering Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with call coverage from midnight Friday to 6:45 AM Monday morning
• Holiday rotation required every other holiday
• May be required to float to additional facilities within the system
• Perform approximately 10-12 general ultrasound exams per day including Abdomen, Small Parts, GYN, and OB including Fetal Anatomy scans
• Heavy OB unit with strong emphasis on OB experience including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester
• Perform pylorus, appendix, and possible fetal brain exams from NICU
• Work with 4 ultrasound units (Philips EPIQ Elites) in a hospital setting
• No DVT exams, breast ultrasounds, or US-guided procedures outside of HSGs performed in this unit
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring strong attention to detail and effective communication
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: ARDMS certified in OB/GYN and ABD, BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Preferred education: Associate Degree or Certificate
• Minimum education: High School Diploma

Facility:

This facility is an approximately 250-bed hospital operating as a Level II trauma center. The ultrasound department features four Philips EPIQ Elite ultrasound units and operates separately from the Echo/Vascular department, Breast Health Center, and Interventional Radiology. The unit maintains a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on OB imaging and quality patient care.
