Children Behavioral Health Technician (7720)

Job Title: Children’s Behavioral Health Technician Location: 300 E Chandler Blvd, Chandler, AZ 85225 Type: Full‑Time (40 hours/week) Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00a.m. – 7:00p.m. Salary: $19.00 per hour (DOE) Responsibilities Engage families to identify natural/formal supports as outlined in the Arizona Model, Child and Family Team (CFT) process, and Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) for enrolled families. Facilitate CFT/Service Plan meetings in accordance with Arizona Model and RBHA guidelines to create individualized service plans. Help families understand the behavioral health process, the role of the CFT facilitator, and encourage participation connecting them to natural or community‑based supports. Coordinate and schedule CFT/Service Plan meetings with natural, formal supports, and system stakeholders. Submit appropriate referrals to clinical outpatient services and other behavioral health providers identified by the CFT. Update and maintain electronic medical records for each case, including annual assessment updates, RBHA demographics, Child and Adolescent Service Intensity Instrument (CALOCUS), and CFT/Service Plan documentation. Complete strength assessments and crisis/safety plans with families per RBHA and Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) guidelines. Develop positive supportive relationships with consumers, families, stakeholders, and other Terros employees and Boys and Girls Club employees. Actively lead group prevention or therapeutic group activities at assigned Boys and Girls Club locations. Qualifications GED/High school diploma with minimum 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or an associate’s degree in a related field, or a bachelor’s degree (in any field) with 1 year of behavioral health experience, or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in behavioral health. Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, electronic medical record; NextGen preferred. Valid Arizona driver’s license, 21 years of age with minimum 4 years of driving experience, and compliance with Terros Health’s driving policy. Must pass DCS Central Registry check, background check, TB test, and other pre‑employment screening. Must obtain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level1) within 7 working days of employment. Basic understanding of DSM‑V preferred; certified case manager strongly preferred. Must achieve CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of assuming the role. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills with a non‑judgmental approach.
