Senior IT Governance Project Manager

As a member of the Digital Technology & Innovation organization, the Senior IT Governance Project Manager will oversee IT Law initiatives within the Corporate & Operations Technology Department. The role involves managing large, complex programs and projects that span multiple departments and involve various external vendors. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects stay on budget and on schedule through the use of formal project management methodologies, tools, and processes, from inception through full implementation and rollout of hardware and software.

Responsibilities:

• Direct technical leads, project team members, and consultants/contractors.
• Develop and maintain essential project documents including:
  • Project Charter
  • Project Management Plan
  • Requirements documents
  • Design documents
  • Input to architecture documents
  • Test Plan and Test results
  • Implementation Plans
  • Post Implementation and Lessons Learned
  • Project schedules and budgets
  • Resource management plans
• Produce weekly program status reports for each program.
• Conduct project status meetings and other necessary meetings.
• Manage project schedules using MS Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and MS Project Professional 2010.
• Report on schedule and budget variances.
• Create and maintain SharePoint project sites within the EPM system.
• Ensure high-quality, well-maintained project schedules, baselines, and estimates to complete the program/project.
• Report on risks and provide ongoing risk management plans, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Manage ongoing issues and changes using existing processes and templates, publishing reports within the program/project.
• Create and publish weekly status reports detailing activities, accomplishments, issues, and actions to resolve issues.
• Ensure all activities required for operational readiness review are completed on time.
• Create Statements of Work (SOW) for RFPs and evaluate vendor responses.
• Evaluate criteria for product and proposal analysis.
• Deliver programs and projects on schedule and on budget.
• Present projects at Quality Checkpoints and Department Level Project Reviews.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, and education.
• Minimum of ten years of hands-on Program and Project management experience from initiation to implementation using formal methodologies and processes.
• Significant experience in technology management, analysis, and administration.
• Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders, protecting departmental interests.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Effective communication and writing skills, tailored to the audience.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Project Office Professional, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project Server (EPM), Primavera, etc.
• PMP certification (required).

Preferred:

• Knowledge of document governance practices and enterprise information asset management.
• Understanding of industry-leading document and record protection management practices.
• At least five years of experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project Server (EPM), etc.
