Pieper Veterinary is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our Radiology Department at Pieper Memorial , a VECCS Level 1 Certified Hospital located in Middletown, CT .

About You:

In this role, you will be an integral part of our diagnostic imaging team, supporting or performing a range of imaging procedures including radiology (X-ray), ultrasound, echocardiography, fluoroscopy, CT, and cardiology imaging. We will tailor the position to your strengths, offering growth opportunities for both technician- and assistant-level applicants.

Compensation:
Depending on experience and credentials:
Veterinary Technicians - $21.50-$25.00 an hour
Veterinary Assistants - $19.50-$21.50 an hour

Anticipated Schedule:
This is a full-time position:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - shifts will be 8am-6pm and 9am-7pm.
Holidays are required.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in a veterinary setting, ideally in an ER setting.
• Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion and patience when handling animals.
• Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
• Experience with common induction agents/anesthetic agents/analgesia agents
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
