Software Engineer, Asset & Wealth Management

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

  • We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 2+ years of applied experience.
  • We expect hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in a data-processing production environment.
  • We need experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate setting using modern programming languages such as Python and querying languages such as SQL.
  • We look for strong database fundamentals.
  • We require practical experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, with the ability to critically assess and verify AI-generated outputs.
  • We expect understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and resiliency and security expectations.
  • We look for broad knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, including code review, testing approaches, release processes, and operational support.
  • We expect familiarity with agile ways of working and modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • We require working knowledge of AWS cloud concepts and services.
Responsibilities:
  • We execute standard software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • We write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance.
  • We use enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating results through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
  • We design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with awareness of upstream and downstream systems and technical impacts.
  • We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
  • We use technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and resolve basic technical issues.
  • We gather, analyze, and interpret large and diverse data sets to identify issues and support decision-making for secure and stable application development.
  • We learn and apply processes, methods, and skills that support the development of secure and stable code and systems.
