Ability to plan, organize, analyze and establish priorities related to assigned duties. Must have strong analytical and trouble shooting skills. Must have the ability to make computations and tabulations rapidly and accurately with a heavy volume workload involving time constraint deadlines. Ability to carry out job responsibilities and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel in schools, departments, and vendors. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Job Summary To perform tasks in each functional area of accounting in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years experience as a bookkeeper, accounts payable clerk, payroll clerk, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience with computer systems and applications preferred. Experience with municipal or governmental accounting preferred. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
