Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist

Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for the mobile power generation companyMonitor and inspect the work environment to ensure compliance with safety regulationsInvestigate and document any safety incidents or accidentsProvide safety training to employees and contractorsDevelop and maintain safety records and reportsMonitor and inspect the use of personal protective equipmentEnsure that all safety equipment is in good working orderDevelop and implement emergency response plansMonitor and inspect the use of hazardous materialsConduct regular safety audits and inspectionsDevelop and implement safety awareness programsMonitor and inspect the use of power generation equipmentEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulationsRespond to safety-related inquiries from employees and contractors Required Skills/Abilities: Proven experience as safety officerIn depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and proceduresKnowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practicesExperience in writing reports and policies for health and safetyFamiliarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statisticsProficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plusOutstanding organizational skillsDiligent with great attention to detailExcellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topicsCertificate in occupational health and safety Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.Poses an active and current driver’s license.Must be willing to travel.
