Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of four residential properties totaling 69 units in Boston's historic South End. Reporting to the Property Manager and Senior Facilities Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing, scheduling, and performing in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing apartments for new resident occupancy.
• Overseeing completion of work orders, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Maintaining an elevated level of customer service for our residents.
• Working with contractors as needed.
• Maintaining inventory and working within a budget.
• Scheduling and supervising maintenance personnel.
• Ensuring the quality of work performed.
• Updating records and reports related to maintenance.
• Planning and documenting preventative maintenance programs and preparing for property inspections.
• Updating the Yardi mobile app and communicating with the team about the status of ongoing projects.

The work hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with on-call duties shared on rotation. The on-call rotation will include other properties in Boston.

Your Qualifications:

We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy. The ideal candidate will be able to train and motivate staff while working alongside them and ensuring jobs are completed with full cleanup.

• Knowledge of general apartment repair and previous experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC work, and appliance repair is required.
• Previous experience supervising a team of maintenance professionals is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a work order management system is required; experience with Yardi is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Pay Range: $34-38.50/hour depending on previous experience.
