Clinical Materials Specialist

Job Summary The Clinical Materials Specialist, under the direction of the Clinical Manager, performs daily activities of counting, receiving, stocking, rotating and managing reagents, calibrators, controls and consumables in the Clinical Laboratory. Job Responsibilities Assist in receiving, inventory and lot control of all clinical and lab office supplies. Maintain perpetual inventory and deliver supplies to all locations. Coordinate replacement of supplies and solve issues via phone/email with Warehouse/Materials Manager and internal departments. Verify outstanding supplies ordered by warehouse and internal departments with Clinical Management. Inform clinical labs of backordered supplies. Process all receiving reports for shipments from the warehouse. Maintain records of supplies and materials entering the laboratories. Learn safety diamond requirements for reagents and store in proper areas. Keep laboratory stock areas clean and organized. Manage expiring stocks, ensuring overstock does not occur and controlling expiration dates and lot numbers. Shelve and rotate stock per department procedure, using first expiration date first. Complete warehouse pull sheets. Serve as liaison between clinical laboratories and warehouse, supporting procurement of one‑off items. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with contacts involved in the course of work. Perform all responsibilities in alignment with industry’s best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect confidential information. Abide by Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including privacy and security policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Non‑essential Functions Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
