Job Title Assistant Professor, Chemistry Essential Job Functions Conducts a requisite number of classes; Teaches assignedsubjects Provides guidance and supervision to students Createsandmaintainsan environment conducive to excellence inteaching, learning,and research Preparation and formulation of curricula focused on his/hersubject(s) Participates in departmental meetings and holds scheduledoffice hours Maintains equipment in the laboratory,plansfor laboratorypractical sessions, and provides materials to students Provides academic support to other faculty members Serves on departmental and University committees, asassigned Other related duties, as assigned Qualifications Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry or a related field. Five (5) years of teaching experience at the college oruniversity level. Knowledge Skills and Abilities In-depth knowledge of chemistry. Demonstrated integrity. Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, andinterpersonal. Strong time management skills. Passion for teaching and engaging with students . Skilled in mentoring students.
