Job Description

This position is responsible to deliver quality Respiratory Care to all patients who require such, as ordered by a physician, while providing the appropriate education of this care to the patient and their family. The Respiratory Therapist will evaluate and assess each patient ordered on therapy for the appropriateness of the treatment and communicate to the nursing staff and assist the physicians with any and all changes appropriate to enhance the care and safety of the patient.

Education And Credentials

Certificate or A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy. NYS RT license or eligible to obtain licensure. Current BLS required, with ACLS and/or NPR preferred.

Experience

At least one (1) year Respiratory Therapy experience preferred. Assignments require some investigation, are individually completed and require independent judgment in making a decision.

Department: OGH Respiratory Care Standard Hours Bi-Weekly: 75.00 Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Yes On Call Required: No Scheduled Work Hours: 6p-7a Friday through Sunday - Weekend Only position Work Arrangement: Onsite Union Code: N35 - Non Union OGH Requisition ID#: 8041 Grade: $35.16 - $41.28 ***10% wage increase for weekend shift only position*** Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
