AMN Healthcare is partnering with a Monroe, MI school district to hire a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with one of the top districts in the area, providing services to children of all ages. Generally, the OT will address motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions that impact a student's academics, self-care skills, play, and social participation, as well as transitional skills. Responsibilities for this role include: \t&bull

Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students achieve their academic goals.\t&bull

Screen and evaluate students referred to Occupational Therapy. \t&bull

Appropriately collect data, report findings.\t&bull

Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.\t&bull

Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards. \t&bull

The OT will provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to improve participation and progress toward educational goals.\t&bull

Participate on a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student performance.

Required Qualifications

Occupational Therapist, School Experience: New Grad Accepted Licenses: OT-MI &bull

Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program &bull

Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Michigan &bull

Initial certification through NBCOT &bull

Clear, articulate communication skills &bull

Ability to explain results to a varied audience &bull

Candidates with previous school experience a plus! &bull

Completion of a criminal record and background check

Preferred Qualifications

School or Pediatric Experience
