Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - AMF & Spin Form

Blue Origin is looking for a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy‑lift orbital launch vehicle capable of carrying people and payloads to low‑Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. The role is part of the Blue Origin Operations organization, encompassing Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. Responsibilities Translate engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions. Identify tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware. Provide shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor. Generate, manage, and close non‑conformance reports (NCR). Support introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts including build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists. Work on first shift (Monday‑Friday) and provide travel up to 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering. Prior 8+ years of experience in aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similar fields. Hands‑on experience with machining and spin‑forming processes. Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GDT. Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, issue tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Ability to earn trust and maintain positive professional relationships. Eligibility to work in the United States (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylum holder). Preferred Qualifications Hands‑on experience building flight hardware. 10+ years of experience in an engineering capacity, including internships. Experience with design, development or production of launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellites. Proficiency with CAD software (Creo or CATIA V5). Customer‑focused track record collaborating with teams of diverse skills across geographic distances. Strong organizational and analytical skills.
