Travel Ultrasound Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM with call (typically 1-2 times per week).

The Travel Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic ultrasound services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. The technician will perform various sonographic procedures including abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms, as well as small parts scanning (e.g., thyroid, breast, scrotum), ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform abdominal, pelvic, and transvaginal sonograms.
• Conduct small parts imaging such as thyroid and breast scans.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures including biopsies and aspirations.
• Collaborate effectively within the radiology team to ensure patient care and satisfaction.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Ultrasound certification.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ultrasound imaging.
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Maintains a State License as a general radiographer.
