OEM Manufacturing Technician I

Job Overview HORIBA Group provides instruments and systems for applications ranging from automotive R&D to semiconductor manufacturing and scientific research. The role involves cleaning, assembling, and aligning high‑precision optical and mechanical components such as spectrometers, diffraction gratings, motor assemblies, opto‑sensors (CCD, PDA), and electronics boards while following detailed work instructions. Remote work is available. Responsibilities Clean and assemble high‑precision optical and mechanical components such as spectrometers, diffraction gratings, miniaturized motor assemblies, opto‑sensors (CCD, PDA), and electronics boards following work instructions. Use epoxy resins, glues, and small machines; package and handle both fragile and heavy parts. Perform precise optical alignments as part of spectrometer manufacturing. Optimize and test with automated software and test equipment. Use PC, Excel, and customer software to record traceability and performance data (pass/fail). Qualifications Able to work in a team environment. Capable of fine optical alignments with attention to detail. Able to lift heavy equipment and handle fragile parts. Strong ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal procedures/work instructions. Adhere to strict ESD and cleanroom policies. Skillful in optical alignment with a good background in electronics and small parts handling. Ability to read CAD drawings and identify parts using a Bill of Materials for mechanical assembly of electro‑mechanical and optical sub‑assemblies.
