IT Support Specialist

Salary: $70,000 - 85,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for 3+ years of hands-on IT support, systems administration, or engineering experience.
• A 2- or 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred; technical school or trade school education is also valued.
• MSP experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Intune is needed.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy is expected.
• Solid networking and firewall experience is important.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V is preferred.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, EDR/MDR, MFA, and security best practices is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are necessary.
• We need someone who is comfortable working directly with clients and making technical recommendations.
• The role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
• Experience with RMM, PSA, and MSP tools such as Datto RMM, Autotask, IT Glue, Auvik, Huntress, SentinelOne, Petra, Avanan, and SaaS Alerts is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools, governance, automation, or simple agents/workflows is a plus.
• A valid ability to commute to Golden Valley, MN is required.
• We prefer an associate degree.

• We troubleshoot escalated client issues across Microsoft 365, Windows, networks, servers, and security.
• We configure and administer Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, Intune, MDM/MAM, and Microsoft security controls.
• We help migrate clients from Active Directory and traditional servers to Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• We work with Microsoft Defender, endpoint protection, identity security, and related cybersecurity tools.
• We assist with DLP, information protection, and cloud application discovery.
• We configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and virtualization platforms.
• We support Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• We participate in Microsoft 365, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud projects.
• We work directly with clients to understand needs, explain options, and recommend solutions.
• We assist with support tickets when needed, as everyone on the team helps support our clients.
• We take part in occasional client site visits throughout the Twin Cities and some on-call coverage.

We provide IT support, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and consulting services. Our team is small and experienced, which means our engineers work across a broad mix of technologies and client environments. This hands-on position is based in Golden Valley/Minneapolis, MN, with primarily in-office work and flexibility to work from home after onboarding; we expect a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. The salary range is $70,000 to $85,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
