As a Litigation Attorney you will own cases from intake through verdict or settlement, earn client trust through empathy and candor, and drive results that change lives.

Performance Objectives

• Build client confidence in the first meeting by explaining case strategy, timelines, and realistic outcomes so every client feels heard and protected.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and insurance coverage within 14 days of assignment and produce a written case plan that sets the path to maximum recovery.
• Negotiate with carriers and opposing counsel to resolve 70%+ of assigned files at or above case valuation without trial.
• Prepare every file for trial: complete discovery, retain experts, draft motions, and first-chair or second-chair trials when settlement is not in the client's best interest.
• Keep clients and the file team current with proactive status updates so no client ever wonders where their case stands.
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff on claim evaluation, negotiation tactics, and courtroom readiness to raise the quality of the entire docket.

Environment & Resources

You will join a 100-lawyer, 30+ office NLJ500 firm and report to a Managing Attorney. You will have dedicated paralegals, investigators, and medical-records support, plus firm-wide trial resources and a proven playbook for high-volume PI and property-damage litigation. Essential Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license in good standing in the state of practice.
• 3–5 years of personal-injury or first-party property litigation with a track record of settlements and courtroom work.
• Demonstrated ability to value claims, negotiate with insurers, and try cases when necessary.
• Clear, compassionate communication that earns client trust and respect.
• Self-starter who thrives independently yet collaborates with a high-volume team.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
