Medical Laboratory Scientist - Microbiology

Description

Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director, the employee performs, evaluates and reports results on specimens received for analysis; solves problems, instructs new employees and students, operates instruments and performs maintenance function checks and troubleshooting. Follows the principles outlined in the Compliance/ Integrity Program Handbook and adheres to all regulatory requirements for this position.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related health sciences -OR- Current 3+1 student enrolled in PSHMC MT Program
• National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire -OR-
• National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Medical Technologist upon hire -OR-
• National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Association of Bioanalysts upon hire -OR-

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
