Asset Backed Finance Associate (Associate Attorney)

Job Description

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking Corporate Finance Associates with 2–8 years of experience to join its highly regarded Asset Finance and Securitization practice.

\n

This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated financing arrangements, innovative financial products, and complex transactions involving diverse asset classes. Attorneys will work alongside an experienced team representing financial institutions, investment funds, lenders, issuers, underwriters, and other participants in the structured finance market.

\n

Position Responsibilities

\n

Associates will play an integral role in structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing complex asset-backed financing and securitization transactions.

\n

Responsibilities include:

\n

\n
• Representing institutional lenders, financial sponsors, borrowers, and investors in structured and asset-backed financing matters.
\n
• Preparing and negotiating financing agreements, securitization documentation, and related transaction materials.
\n
• Advising on transactions involving traditional and emerging asset classes.
\n
• Working collaboratively with clients and internal teams to develop creative financing structures.
\n
• Managing transaction processes, coordinating diligence, and supporting matters through closing.
\n

Relevant Transactional Experience

\n

Candidates with exposure to securitizations or financings involving any of the following asset classes are particularly encouraged to apply:

• Residential mortgages and single-family rental properties
\n
• Automobile loans and leases
\n
• Credit card and trade receivables
\n
• Marketplace and consumer lending
\n
• Solar and renewable energy loans
\n
• Royalties and mineral interests
\n
• Timeshare receivables
\n
• Derivatives and other structured financial instruments
\n

\n

Experience across every asset class is not required.

\n

Ideal Candidate

\n

\n
• 2–8 years of structured finance experience , preferably within a major national or international law firm.
\n
• Prior BigLaw experience is required.
\n
• Demonstrated involvement in structured finance, securitization, or asset-backed lending transactions.
\n
• Strong transactional drafting, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
\n
• Interest in sophisticated financial structures and emerging asset classes.
\n
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for developing long-term professional and client relationships.

Location & Compensation

\n

Location: Flexible across the firm's U.S. offices, with relocation assistance available.

\n

Compensation: Base salary starting at $225,000 , with compensation determined by class year, qualifications, and relevant experience.
