Job Title

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department including trauma bays, OBS, Fast Track, and triage areas
• Manage and care for patients presenting with trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and stroke (including TPA administration)
• Administer and monitor all common drips associated with a Level I Trauma environment
• Read and independently interpret cardiac monitor strips/telemetry
• Float to the OBS unit and a freestanding ER location at least once per week
• Complete a mandatory pass/fail orientation exam (open book, minimum 90% required to pass) during the first week of onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Recent Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Valid driver's license (required at time of submittal and used to verify radius eligibility)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must not currently hold full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance is required to maintain contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Experience in a Pediatric-certified or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
• Familiarity with 1:1 ICU/Trauma ratios and high-volume ED workflows
