Accounting Assistant

Accounting Assistant Classification : Full-time, non-exempt Workplace Type : Hybrid (3 days in-office required) Department : Client Services Reporting To : CFO Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to assist them with bookkeeping, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. Regularly perform bookkeeping tasks (processing bills, recording revenue and expense transactions, posting payroll entries, etc). Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations (bank accounts, investments, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, lease-related accounts, payroll accrual, deferred revenue, debt, and restricted net assets). Prepare annual 1099 filings. Assist with team member projects, as assigned. Fill‑in for team member absences, as necessary. Desired Qualifications Desire to be a full-cycle accountant Energized by working with non‑profit organizations Experience with Quickbooks Online or another accounting system, preferred Comfortable using software; willing to learn new software Excellent verbal and written communicator Excellent critical thinking skills Willingness to learn new skills and not afraid of a challenge Intrinsically motivated to succeed Problem‑solver with the ability to ask for help First 60 Days Success Leverage our preferred systems to complete bookkeeping tasks.
