Pediatrician

• Provide comprehensive medical services to infant and child patients within scope of service and training
• Deliver preventive care, immunizations, primary care, treatment, health education, medication prescribing, laboratory testing, physical examinations, STD screenings, vision/hearing services, and nutrition care
• Communicate with patients, parents, and guardians regarding pediatric health
• Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations
• Document findings, patient visits, diagnoses, and plans of action
• Order, execute, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, images, procedures, and reports
• Diagnose patient conditions
• Administer or prescribe treatments and perform therapeutic procedures within scope of practice
• Refer patients to medical specialists when needed
• Meet established productivity goals
• Adjust to fluctuating patient flow, acuity, and operational demands while maintaining quality
• Attend required compliance and clinical practice training
• Supervise up to four advanced practice practitioners onsite and remotely
• Sign the Delegation of Services Agreement and Written Supervision Guidelines
• Work occasional evening and Saturday shifts and travel between clinics as organizational needs require
• Provide no hospital call or rounds

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of a pediatric residency
• Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment
• Strong charting/documentation skills
• Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work occasional evening and Saturday shifts
• Ability to travel to clinics with little to no notice when urgent patient needs arise
• Ability to supervise up to four advanced practice practitioners
• Ability to attend required annual compliance and clinical practice training
• Ability to fulfill evening and/or weekend duties as an exempt employee
