Description

American Traveler is hiring a Rehab RN for a night shift position requiring an AL or compact RN license and at least 18 months to 2 years of rehab nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Rehabilitation Pavilion, an inpatient hospital rehab unit providing 24-hour medical monitoring
• Care for patients recovering from stroke, hip fracture, pulmonary conditions, and other functional rehabilitation needs
• Multi-disciplinary team includes physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who round daily
• Utilizes specialized therapy equipment including body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machine, and vehicle simulation for patient recovery
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every holiday required
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license, State of Alabama or Compact, required (no temporary or pending licenses accepted)
• Associate's degree in nursing required
• AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• 2 years of nursing experience required, though 18 months of experience at the highest level of professional licensure will be considered
• 1 year of recent experience in rehab nursing required
• No license history issues (past or current) allowed
• NURSYS license verification required

• Provide continuous nursing care and monitoring for patients participating in an inpatient rehabilitation program
• Support patients in achieving improved functional ability and independence
