Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage critically ill cardiac and neurological patients in an acute care setting
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling as required
• Float within scope to similar units as needed, consistent with expectations for all staff nurses
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated cardiac and neurological nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of CVICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
