EODS Supervisor, Operations Officer I (NCS) - Baltimore Police Department

THIS IS A NON-CIVIL SERVICE POSITION Salary Range: $70,338.00 - $112,807.00 Annually Starting Pay: $70,338.00 Annually Essential Functions Serves as primary lead on the management of all investigations surrounding equal opportunity or diversity related complaints, claims of discrimination based on a protected class, claims of harassment based on a protected class or characteristics, and coordination with the EEOC for all external complaints regarding discrimination. Supervises a team of departmental members to complete all investigations of BPD members for claims of harassment, discrimination or EEOC complaints and reviews the work product to ensure all investigations are completed. Serves as a senior advisor to the Police Commissioner on all Departmental matters related to policies that impact diversity, equity, claims of retaliation, or discrimination. Coordinates with Deputy Commissioners and the Chief of Staff to ensure that the goals set forth in the Police Commissioner’s strategic vision for the Department are being implemented. Minimum Qualifications Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of laws related to Title VII-Civil Rights Act. Use of Office products-Excel, Word, Outlook. Background Check: Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed. Probation: All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory 1-year probation.
