Class A Truck Driver
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Class A Truck Driver to join our team in the logistics sector. In this role, you will contribute to transporting essential waterworks supplies, ensuring timely deliveries to construction sites, and maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate an automatic tractor and 48-foot trailer to transport goods.
- Deliver items such as fire hydrants, pipes, valves, and fittings to construction sites.
- Coordinate with site contractors for unloading materials.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Experience driving manual transmission trucks.
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift (training can be provided if necessary).
- Must be 21 years or older.
- At least one year of driving experience with the class of vehicles assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with deliveries to construction sites.
- Familiarity with local routes in Portland, OR.
