Job Details Job Location: Arleta Family Health Care Clinic - Arleta, CA 91331 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $133,711.00 - $200,567.00 Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred. Excellent benefits package for full-time employees. Job Summary This position provides generalized healthcare services to clinic patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. Essential Responsibilities Operate within approved protocols for health management of acute and chronically ill patients. Meet with patients in a clinic setting. Identify health status by taking medical histories, performing examinations, and evaluating test results. Initiate and evaluate screening and diagnostic procedures. Assess the health status of each patient and initiate appropriate therapeutic intervention. Provide patients with comprehensive information to allow for informed decision-making. Determine which cases to refer to a physician for further diagnosis and treatment. Serve as a clinical consultant to nursing and paramedic personnel. Coordinate with the patient care team to develop treatment plans. Assess and report on patient progress. Keep current and accurate records. Interact professionally with the patient and the patient’s family or representatives. Consider patient cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors. Respond to medical emergencies as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities High level of professionalism, patient service, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of common medical conditions and chronic disease management. Knowledge of general pharmacology. Knowledge of preventative medicine. Ability to positively and effectively represent the organization. Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions. Ability to perform duties skillfully and effectively. Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Knowledge of Microsoft applications and electronic medical record systems. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality. Ability to work independently and multi-task while maintaining quality standards. Education / Experience Master’s degree in nursing (MSN). 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably including experience in a clinical setting. Certifications / Licensure / Language Registered nurse (RN) and nurse practitioner (NP) licenses. Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) preferred. Must be able to pass required pre-employment health and background screening. Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance. El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service. To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.
