Accommodation Integration Specialist

Accommodation Integration Specialist (Grant Funded) – Student Accessibility Success Initiative (SASI) Central Connecticut State University invites applications for a full‑time Accommodation Integration Specialist within the Office of Accessibility Services (OAS). This position supports a key institutional initiative focused on strengthening student success and improving campus‑wide understanding and implementation of academic accommodations. Responsibilities Ensure that students with disabilities receive coordinated, effective support. Partner with faculty, tutors, and academic support centers to integrate accommodations seamlessly. Provide direct guidance to students and coordinate daily processes that support differentiated instruction and accessible learning. Maintain accurate records, support data collection and reporting, and serve as a resource to faculty offering consultation and support that promotes equitable and effective accommodation use across the university community. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education. Three (3) years of experience working with and/or providing services and supports to students with disabilities in an educational setting. Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, including ADA and Section 504, as well as university and BOR/CSCU policies and procedures. Knowledge of best practices in disability services, academic accommodations, and differentiated instruction. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage daily operational tasks, prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records. Preferred: Experience collaborating with faculty, tutors, or academic support services on accommodation implementation and accessibility practices. Graduate Assistant or Graduate Intern experience in relevant educational or community‑based programs may be applied toward required experience and prorated appropriately. Benefits The Accommodation Integration Specialist (grant funded) is compensated at the Administrator I/II salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
