Clinical Research Associate I

Department Overview Provides care for children with all types of malignancies and blood disorders. The Cancer and Blood Disorders program focuses on coordinated, knowledge‑driven clinical care and leads research on supportive care and quality of life. Position Summary The Clinical Research Associate I (CRA I) supports the research team in conducting department research projects. Responsibilities Perform study startup, implementation, and closeout activities. Coordinate and enter research data. Submit regulatory documents to the Institutional Review Board and maintain compliance with federal and local agencies per Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Interact with patients and families to secure informed consent, schedule visits, and collect data. Maintain regulatory binder documentation, report adverse events, and communicate with sponsors and sites. Perform specialized tasks such as phlebotomy, sample collection, processing or shipping, ECGs, chart abstraction, or other duties as assigned. Manage career development and administrative tasks. Qualifications Baccalaureate degree or at least 4 years of relevant clinical research experience. High attention to detail with strong written and oral communication skills. Advanced computer skills beyond basic familiarity with common hardware and software systems. Ability to assist staff working on multiple projects. Experience working with pediatric populations (preferred). Promotion Promotion to CRA II is determined by the Clinical Research Program Manager through performance reviews, considering experience on duties and commitment to professionalism aligned with Children’s values and policies. Compensation and Benefits Salary is competitive and based on market data. Full‑time salaries are adjusted for part‑time positions. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and additional fringe benefits. Shift differentials or premium pay may apply for night, weekend, or on‑call work. Physical Demands Position requires standing, walking, carrying supplies, and interacting with patients.
