Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Summary This role involves collaborating with pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare providers to assess, plan, and administer anesthesia tailored to pediatric patients. Responsibilities Include Conducting comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations and discussing options with families. Developing individualized anesthesia care plans and obtaining informed consent. Administering various anesthetic techniques, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, as well as sedation and nerve blocks. Inducing and maintaining anesthesia during procedures, monitoring physiological responses, and adjusting levels for safety and comfort. Providing post-anesthesia care, managing recovery, and responding to emergencies such as airway issues. Educating patients and families on anesthesia processes, risks, and post-operative care. Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless perioperative care. Participating in teaching and mentoring students, residents, or new staff. Qualifications Master's degree in a related field; Doctorate preferred.
