Position Overview We are seeking a Service Sales Representative for our commercial roofing shop in Hialeah. The Service Sales Representative is responsible for the business development of our Service Department, including our preventive maintenance service contract products. You will sell to new and existing clients and schedule sales appointments via self-generated leads. In this role, you will work in a business‑to‑business setting, covering an assigned territory and building a portfolio of accounts through prospecting, referrals, and direct outreach. Due to the nature of the services we offer, you will very rarely make one‑call closes. Key Responsibilities Visit customers’ or potential customers’ facilities to assess overall roof service needs and design long‑term service programs. Conduct rooftop inspections of existing systems and secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements, preparing full estimates including pictures, drawings, and descriptions. Prepare professional quotes for roof services and present the full scope of the quotation to customers. Maintain current information about customers, facilities, operations, and personnel in the customer contact management system. Assist in the collection of outstanding receivables and identify potential problems that may delay payment of open invoices. Provide sales and lost‑business reports. Follow up on direct mail campaigns. Present clients with the most appropriate solutions. Assemble proposals and reports for clients. Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner. Follow up with clients periodically to ensure expectations are met and to obtain referrals. Work with the Service Coordinator to generate additional leads and referrals. Coordinate with the Service Department Manager to develop sales strategies and close deals when necessary. Manage the service projects won through your efforts. Perform other related tasks as may be assigned. Prospect via cold calls, emails, door‑to‑door calls, networking, and referrals. Knowledge, Skills & Experience 3 – 5 years of sales experience in commercial roofing, construction, or a related field. Demonstrated success in sales, with a strong record of achievement and proven ability to achieve results. Excellent negotiation skills for a variety of sales situations. Ability to manage and qualify leads and close business through direct contact or over the phone. Excellent track record of developing relationships with integrity and trust. Solid project management skills. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and listening skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including SharePoint and CRM. Ability to climb ladders and walk/inspect roofs. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle. Ability to travel locally; out of the office 80% of the time.
