Position: Urgent Care Physician (Stockton, CA)

Organization: Our organization, part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Northern California Health Care System
Location: Stockton VA Clinic (Richard A. Pittman VA Clinic), French Camp/Stockton, CA

Position Overview

• Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 18:00 (approximately 36 clinical hours per week)

• Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $260,000 to $325,000

• Benefits: 50-55 days of paid time off annually, federal pension (5-year vesting), 401(k) matching, comprehensive health insurance, CME stipend ($1,000 per year), and liability coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional urgent care to Veterans, addressing both acute and chronic health issues across a varied patient demographic

• Perform diagnostics, procedures, manage orders, referrals, and medication

• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including specialty services and resident education

• Maintain adherence to VA policies, ensure patient safety, and comply with national clinical standards

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution

• Licensure: Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.

• Residency: Completed residency accredited by ACGME/AOA; Emergency Medicine preferred, but Family or Internal Medicine with substantial Emergency Medicine experience is acceptable

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen (non-citizens may be considered only if no qualified citizens are available)
