About the Position

Job Title: Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician Profession: Medical Laboratory Specialty: Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Graduated from an approved program Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Proficient in phlebotomy, Blood Bank testing, Microbiology preferred, proficient with Covid regulations Description: Qualified MT or MLT needed for a 13-week assignment. 3-12 hour shifts after the first week of training. Rotate weekends, typically every 5th weekend. No call required. Fill in Thursday night shifts and may pick up vacancies if not filled with regular staff. Microbiology skills preferred; experience with gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures is essential. Must be proficient in phlebotomy. Blood Bank testing experience is required. Work holidays as needed on a rotating basis. Must be proficient in Covid regulations, including PPE and isolation procedures. Ability to multitask and prioritize is essential. Ability to work independently is necessary. Must be able to communicate proficiently. Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within 12 weeks.
