Clinical Research Coordinator

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee day-to-day clinical trial operations in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves managing study protocols, coordinating participant recruitment and retention, supervising team members, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage multiple ongoing clinical trials of varying complexity with patients or healthy volunteers
• Complete protocol-required documentation to capture study data and ensure participant safety and compliance
• Lead participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities across study sites
• Supervise junior coordinators and administrative staff; serve as lead coordinator for assigned studies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal qualification
• 0-5 years experience in clinical research or related field
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory responsibility
• Knowledge of FDA Good Clinical Practices, ICH Guidelines, and records management principles
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and meet rigorous timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with clinical trial management software and computer systems
