Our tight-knit team is committed to Fear Free handling and to continuously raising the standard of feline medicine in Southwest Florida.Position SummaryWe are seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian who is passionate about feline medicine and wants to practice at a high clinical standard without the noise, stress, and pace of a mixed general practice or emergency setting. This role is ideal for a DVM who wants to focus their practice exclusively on cats, take strong ownership of their caseload, and grow within a well-established practice.The Associate Veterinarian will work alongside our Medical Director and clinical team to deliver comprehensive feline medical care, including wellness examinations, dental procedures, routine surgery, diagnostics, and chronic disease management.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform feline wellness exams, sick visits, and preventive careDiagnose and manage chronic feline conditions Perform routine surgical procedures and provide anesthesia oversight for surgery and dentalsInterpret diagnostics and deliver compassionate end-of-life care using Fear Free principlesBuild strong client relationships through clear, empathetic communication and thoughtful treatment planningWork closely with the Medical Director and collaborate with a close-knit technician and support teamMaintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical protocolsRequired QualificationsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary schoolActive Florida DVM license in good standing (or eligible for FL licensure prior to start date)Active DEA registrationLegally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMinimum of 2 years of small animal clinical experience post-graduationStrong foundational surgical and dental skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCommitment to Fear Free handling principlesAbility to work collaboratively within a small, close-knit teamCompensation & BenefitsBase salary $120,000 $170,000+ (ProSal structure)$5,000 signing bonusGenerous PTOPaid holidaysPaid CE days + annual CE budgetAll professional dues, licenses, and liability insurance covered by the clinicFeline-exclusive practice no dogs, no emergency, no weekendsPaid Health InsuranceSimple IRA Match Pet Discount
