Tax Accountant

• Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 annually

• Work Model: Fully onsite, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (with approximately 50-hour weeks during busy season)

LaSalle Network is hiring for a confidential client seeking a Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm in Chicago. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a tax professional who wants more than a siloed role. You'll work directly alongside firm ownership, gain broad tax experience and have a clear path toward future leadership and potential partnership.



What's the job?

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-Corp, corporate, trust and estate tax returns
  
  
• Work directly with clients to gather information, answer questions and communicate tax-related matters
  
  
• Support tax engagements across real estate, nonprofit and other industries
  
  
• Collaborate closely with firm partners and senior professionals
  
  
• Use accounting and tax software, including QuickBooks and UltraTax
  
  
• Take ownership of client relationships and contribute to the firm's continued growth
  
  
• Develop your technical and client-facing skills through hands-on mentorship

What's needed?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  
  
• Public accounting tax experience
  
  
• CPA eligible or actively pursuing a CPA license
  
  
• Strong accounting fundamentals and knowledge of tax concepts
  
  
• Experience with individual, partnership, S-Corp, corporate, trust or estate returns
  
  
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a small-office environment
  
  
• Coachable, proactive personality with an interest in long-term growth
