Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Emergency Department serving all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Manage and treat common ED presentations including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis-related conditions, and hypertension
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, adjusted based on acuity, using GE monitoring equipment and standard ED tools
• Document accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Float to like assignments as needed based on department staffing requirements
• Demonstrate current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with Associate of Nursing degree or higher
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EHR system
• Strong team-oriented mindset with a positive, engaged attitude
• Familiarity with high-acuity ED environments and flexible staffing demands
