Global Supply Chain Manager

Day to Day

A Global Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support large-scale power generation and infrastructure projects serving hyperscale data center customers. This individual will partner with engineering, project management, construction, operations, and executive leadership teams to ensure critical equipment is sourced, procured, and delivered to support aggressive project schedules.

This person will play a key role in supporting behind-the-meter power generation projects that are helping address growing energy demands created by the rapid expansion of AI and data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

Develop sourcing strategies for long-lead and critical project equipment

Lead supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and commercial contracting activities

Manage supplier relationships across power generation, electrical infrastructure, and industrial equipment providers

Partner with Engineering teams to understand technical specifications and procurement requirements

Drive procurement activities for gas turbines, electrical distribution equipment, switchgear, transformers, generators, and related capital equipment

Evaluate supplier performance including cost, quality, delivery, and risk metrics

Develop risk mitigation strategies for critical equipment and supply chain constraints

Support project execution by ensuring equipment and materials are delivered according to schedule

Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and commercial terms with strategic suppliers

Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Teams, Logistics, Engineering, and Finance throughout project lifecycles

Support multiple concurrent infrastructure projects in various stages of development and execution

Track global market conditions and supplier trends impacting project delivery

Skills and Requirements

Must Have Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field

5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management experience

Experience supporting large-scale industrial, energy, power generation, construction, EPC, or infrastructure projects

Experience negotiating supplier agreements, pricing, and commercial contracts

Experience sourcing capital equipment and working with technical stakeholders

Ability to partner directly with Engineering, Operations, Construction, and Project Management teams

Experience managing supplier relationships and supplier performance metrics

Strong understanding of procurement strategy, supplier development, and risk management

Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments

Ability to work onsite in Houston five days per week Preferred Qualifications

Power generation experience

Gas turbine procurement experience

Experience sourcing electrical infrastructure equipment

EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) background

Utility industry experience

Data center infrastructure experience

Behind-the-meter generation project experience

Experience supporting hyperscale infrastructure projects

Knowledge of:

Gas turbines

Generators

Switchgear

Transformers

Electrical balance-of-plant equipment

Power distribution systems

Experience supporting projects exceeding $100M in capital spend

Global supplier management experience

CPM, CPSM, APICS, or MBA preferred
