Temp to Perm Opportunity Washington MA-C or MA-R required. MA-R will be endorsed by a provider at the clinic. SHIFTS WILL ALTERNATE BETWEEN 07:30-16:00 and 08:00-16:30. MA must OK this. This is a specialty clinic that cares for stroke and cognitive patients. Responsibilities include obtaining prior authorizations for outgoing referrals (such as Cardiology), medication prior authorizations, chart preparation, in-basket management, patient phone calls, and other clinical support duties. The role requires working with multiple providers at times while serving as the sole MA in the clinic, requiring strong organizational skills, prioritization, and the ability to manage a diverse workload independently. MA must not have any physical limitations that prevent them from a fast-paced environment and assisting patients with physical handicaps as needed. Rooming patients & setting up rooms for exam will be required. Duties also include In-Basket management, chart preparation, medication prior authorizations, and some procedure prior authorizations. The workload varies depending on the day and whether there is one or two providers in clinic. On days with one provider, you can expect approximately 8 to 10 patients. On days with two providers, the volume may increase to 16 to 20 patients. 1 APP in office at all times and MD a few times per month. ****3 Interview Times (Including Time Zone) must be included when submitting candidate for a position.
