Client Overview:

Our client is a private pain management practice with multiple locations in NJ, with a heavy emphasis on procedures and intervention-based care. They are looking to add an Interventional Pain Physician to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$300k - 900k Depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Interventional Pain Physician will join a growing New Jersey pain management practice in a full-time, highly procedural, intervention-focused role. They will evaluate patients, recommend appropriate treatments, and perform advanced pain management procedures. The Interventional Pain Physician will identify procedural candidates and deliver evidence-based interventional solutions designed to improve function and quality of life, rather than focusing on medication management. The ideal candidate will hold qualifications from either an Anesthesiology Residency or a PM&R Residency, plus an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship.

Responsibilities of the Interventional Pain Physician:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing interventional and minimally invasive procedures.
• Perform advanced pain management procedures, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations (RFA), spinal cord stimulator trials and management, and minimally invasive spine procedures
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, benefits, risks, and expected outcomes.
• Build referral relationships and establish a strong presence within the local community.
• Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, clinical staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel between clinic, ambulatory surgery center, hospital, and office-based procedure locations throughout New Jersey.
• Participate in practice growth initiatives while maintaining excellent patient satisfaction and outcomes.

Required Experience/Skills for the Interventional Pain Physician:

• DEA registration or eligibility.
• Strong interest in procedure-based pain management.
• Ability to evaluate patients and determine appropriate procedural interventions.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Comfortable educating patients and discussing treatment recommendations.
• Relationship-building and practice-development mindset.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Interventional Pain Physician:

• Experience with epidural steroid injections, facet injections, radiofrequency ablations (RFA), spinal cord stimulator trials, and minimally invasive spine procedures.
• Experience with microdiscectomy-related evaluations and endoscopic spine procedures.
• Experience in a high-volume interventional pain practice.
• Strong procedural skill set and desire to continue expanding capabilities.
• Outgoing, collaborative, and patient-focused personality.
• Interest in mentorship and advanced procedural training opportunities.

Education Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Completion of Anesthesiology or PM&R Residency.
• Completion of an accredited Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pain Medicine.
• Active or eligible New Jersey medical license.
