Senior Property Accountant

A growing commercial real estate platform is looking to add a Property Accountant or Senior Property Accountant to its Cincinnati-based accounting and finance team. The role will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting of an assigned commercial property portfolio spanning retail, office, industrial and mixed-use assets. The individual will work closely with Property Management, Asset Management and ownership teams, with responsibility across month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, CAM reconciliations and audit support. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting for an assigned commercial real estate portfolio Complete month-end close, including journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations Prepare monthly and quarterly property-level financial statements and variance analysis Maintain tenant ledgers, rent schedules and lease-driven charges Prepare annual CAM and real estate tax reconciliations Review property operating expenses and capital expenditure invoices Maintain property-level debt schedules and amortization tables Support annual audits and quarterly bank reporting Lead annual property budgeting and assist with forecasting throughout the year Partner closely with Property Management and Asset Management on portfolio performance and accounting matters Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 3+ years of property accounting experience Commercial real estate accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, CAM reconciliations and annual budgets MRI Software experience preferred Highly organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple properties and deadlines Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider team #J-18808-Ljbffr Alexander Chapman
