Registered Nurse - Level 2 ICU with Open Heart Program

Location: Marquette, Michigan

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 - 07:30, Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours

Job Description: Join a 225-bed specialty care hospital offering comprehensive services including a Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine facilities, and more. This role involves working in the Progressive Care Unit, handling complex patient needs and collaborating with a dynamic healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Level 2 ICU environment.
• Monitor and manage patients post-open heart surgery, trauma, and neuro-related conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and execution.
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner using Cerner EHR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years of experience in a progressive care unit (PCU).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Must be willing to float to different units as needed.
